EnergyAustralia's NSW-only VPP plan pays a flat $15/month whether or not the battery is used, keeps a 10% reserve, and allows up to 200 kWh of battery use a year. The plan includes an 8c/kWh feed-in tariff on the first 10 kWh exported daily. Availability is checked by address, with a waitlist elsewhere.

Listed because this program can be combined with the scheme — eligibility for the scheme itself is decided by the scheme, not the provider.

Compatible systems

Battery products the provider lists as supported. Some require a specific inverter pairing.

Brand-level approvals also include Ambrion, FranklinWH, SAJ, SunPower, GivEnergy, Empower, Eveready and SolaX — the model-level list isn't published. Needs a solid internet connection, market smart meter, in-warranty battery, and EnergyAustralia as your only VPP.

Compatibility is an initial screen from the provider's published lists — final eligibility sits with the provider.

How control works

Who decides when your battery discharges, and what you keep a say over.

Who dispatches
EnergyAustralia's platform accesses the battery remotely — at most 200 kWh a year and one cycle a day, though events can run without prior notification and manufacturer app modes may be disabled during them; at least 10% capacity is always reserved. No per-event opt-out; leave on 30 days' written notice. (The 2024 terms describe an 80-hour annual event expectation; the current page uses the 200 kWh limit.)
