These terms apply when you use CompareVolt. They are written to be read: what the site is for, what it cannot promise, and what you can do with its content.
About these terms
CompareVolt is operated by an Australian sole trader under the CompareVolt name. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

General information, not advice
Everything on CompareVolt is general information. It does not take your circumstances, home, electricity use or finances into account, and it is not financial, legal, electrical or product advice.
Battery reviews are based on published documents, not hands-on testing. Confirm eligibility, pricing and suitability with the provider, a licensed installer or a licensed adviser before you sign up, buy or install anything.
Accuracy and check dates
Information on the site comes from published sources, and pages show when those sources were last checked. Programs, prices, rebates and eligibility rules change, often without notice to us, so a detail can be out of date between checks.
The provider’s current terms and any written offer you receive take precedence over anything on this site. Where a provider has not published a figure, we show it as Unknown rather than guess. If you spot an error, tell us.
What the comparison covers
The site covers the products and programs listed on it, not the whole Australian market. A state or battery listing is an initial screen; final eligibility rests with the provider.
Inclusion and order are never paid. CompareVolt currently earns nothing from the site. Funding and independence explains how any future arrangement would be handled.
Links to other sites
Pages link to providers, manufacturers, government agencies and other sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or privacy practices. A link is a source or a next step, not an endorsement.
Using our content
You are welcome to read, share and link to any page. Please do not, without our written permission:
- copy or republish substantial parts of the reviews, guides or comparison data;
- scrape or bulk-download the site; or
- present our content in a way that suggests we endorse a product, provider or service.
Third-party photographs, logos and trade marks belong to their owners. Provider and product names are used only to identify what is being compared.
Our liability
We try to keep the site accurate, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete, current or free of errors, or that it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that arises from relying on the site or from being unable to use it.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

We may update these terms as the site changes; the date below shows the current version. Using the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
