CompareVolt helps Australians make clearer home energy choices. We bring the published facts, conditions and sources together, so you can work out what deserves a closer look. Our current focus is solar batteries and Virtual Power Plants (VPPs).
Who runs the site
CompareVolt is an independent Australian research site, operated by a sole trader under the CompareVolt name and an individual ABN. It is a one-person project, not an energy retailer or a battery installer.
The site started with Virtual Power Plants and now includes solar battery reviews and guides. Our broader aim is to help Australian households understand their home energy options and the trade-offs before making a decision.

Our reviews are based on published documents. They are not hands-on product tests, personalised advice or an installer quote. We cover the products and programs listed here, not the entire Australian market.

Funding and independence
CompareVolt currently earns no fees from the site. There are no affiliate arrangements, referral fees or paid placements. Following a provider link does not earn us a payment.
A provider cannot pay to move up the comparison or to remove an inconvenient cost or condition. Sources and the published comparison rules determine what you see.
If a commercial arrangement begins, we will update this page before it takes effect and label the arrangement where it appears. It will not change the order of comparison results.

Found an outdated rate, a model mismatch or a broken source? Email hello@comparevolt.com.au with the page link, what needs checking and a source if you have one.
Reader and provider corrections are checked against the same source standard. For a question about your installation or eligibility, contact the installer or provider directly; we cannot confirm it for them.
