Queensland
The Battery Booster closed in May 2024 and nothing has replaced it. The federal discount is what is left, and regional and south-east Queensland price exports differently.

South Australia
The Home Battery Scheme is closed and the state VPPs are housing-tenant only. The export and remote-disconnection rules are what shape the decision now.

Victoria
No state rebate or loan is open, and the VEU carries no battery activity. The bigger change is that Victoria no longer sets a minimum feed-in tariff.

WA incentives
WA pays up to $1,300 (Synergy) or $3,800 (Horizon Power) on 5–10 kWh of usable capacity, on condition that you commit to your retailer's VPP for two years.

Battery rebate
The current STC calculation, step-down schedule and eligibility rules, plus why VPP capability does not require participation or guarantee provider compatibility.

NSW incentives
NSW offers an incentive for connecting an eligible battery to a participating VPP. The provider contract controls the payment, retailer requirements and battery access.
